Computer Generated Animations for Property

Computer generated animations are created in the same way that cgi’s (computer generated images) are produced. The main difference is that the viewpoint, which is also known as the “camera,” is animated (moved) over time. For example, the viewpoint might start at the entrance to a site, and then slowly move into and around the site over time.

The viewpoint or camera basically moves along a pre-defined path, taking snapshots at set intervals. These intervals have to be very frequent in order to create a smooth looking 3d animation. Here in the UK, this is generally 25 snapshots (frames) per second. This means that a 3d animation which lasts 2 minutes, would need to contain 3000 frames.
