Verified Views (AVR's)
Verified Views, take Photomontage images one stage further. The camera position and pre-defined reference points are recorded using GPS and survey data. These are then transferred and aligned into the 3D model using the same coordinate system.
Advanced photographic techniques and the resulting Metadata from the camera is used to replicate a virtual camera with exactly the same focus length, viewing angle and other characteristics. The actual photography is then used as a backplate which lines up perfectly to the 3D geometry.
This data is then used to produce a cutout image
of your building. This is then passed to a
digital artitst who will merge this image with
your photograph, adjusting colour, white balance,
gamma curves and tones to match the original
photograph. As well as a convincing photomontage
showing your building, the resulting Verified
View and accompanying method statements are
supplied as an accurate, verified view - which
can be used to support high-profile planning
applications.
Some planning authorities now ask for Verified Views on contentious sites.
